When Fenty Beauty released their complexion products I was not enthused. The reviews all pointed to the foundation pulling too red and that was all I needed to steer clear. Fast forward to the present with the release of the powder foundation and the cream gloss; I couldn’t wait to try them but didn’t want to limit the review based on past bias. I wanted to see how the new products performed with what was already available.

What the powder foundation claims:

• Buildable - this is true

• Light to full coverage for all - I would agree…to an extent

• Longwear - open to interpretation

• Light as air - depends on the application used

• Crease-resistant - not if you have combination/oily skin

• non-cakey soft matte finish - agreed

I wore the entire Fenty Beauty line - foundation, concealer, setting powder, foundation powder, cream blush, highlight, and lip cream for a good 12 hours this past weekend, at least, and everything did perform well BUT that is not to say I didn’t have to do touchups. I have combination skin and my t-zone will break down and move any product without fail, it just is what it is. That said, I did not require CONSTANT touchups during my photoshoot and that is important. I did too many outfit changes to count, shot both indoors with the temp really high and then cut down a bit for comfort as well as outside both during the day and at night, and I also ate and drank in between. So while I won’t lie to you and say that it met all the claims, it did a damn good job under the circumstances.

What the cream gloss claims:

• luscious color - YES!

• Explosive shine - YES!

• nourished, fuller-looking lips - YES!

• medium to full-coverage color - YES!

• zero shimmer - YES!

• Non-sticky feel - YES!

Can you tell how much I LOVED the Gloss Bomb Cream? I mean…love in a tube! You will see in the video below but I want all of the shades. When the original Gloss Bomb came out the beauty community was head over heels and I kept trying to love it but just treated it like a side piece. It was merely ok and the glitter definitely was a turn-off. But the gloss bomb cream??? If you don’t get another thing from Fenty Beauty, you NEED this in your life. I don’t know what genius came up with the formulation but they need a promotion. I couldn’t stop applying it the first time I tried it (which is why I can’t vouch for the one swipe claim). It gives you the sexiest pout...You put it on and you instantly turn into your sensual alter ego. Get it ASAP!
