When Losing is a Win!

It’s a little weird concluding my thoughts on something that I intend to continue. I guess I just ruined the reason for this post huh? Yes I completed a full month of the Always Eat After 7 challenge, yes I lost weight, and yes I intend to continue, but I assure you that reading the rest of the post is worth it!

Following this plan for the past month has been fairly easy. Any type of change can pose a challenge but the Always Eat After 7 plan does not alter what you enjoy eating; for me that is the tough part of incorporating changes to your lifestyle. The recipes are easy to follow, the meal plan suggestions are realistic and you don’t feel super restricted. Those characteristics along with seeing real results is what will keep me going.

Because I can eat after 7pm if I so choose. I mean, it really is simple math.

As I stated I started out weighing close to 220lbs. During the first week I did not do any physical activity, my main focus was following the meal planning. During the second week I began to incorporate a bit of cardio maybe twice a week. The third week I began to walk five days a week. I walked a 5k (3.10 miles) every morning at my own pace. Normally taking a little over an hour. I now weigh 212.8 lbs. I lost an inch off my chest and my waist and I lost 2 inches off my thighs!

Of course the numbers decreasing is a plus but my biggest takeaway from this challenge is not feeling sluggish all the time, and not getting winded from doing simple things. For those reasons alone I am motivated to keep going. I hope me being transparent and sharing my progress has helped you in some way.
